1. Title of the vehicle or Certificate of Origin.
2. If the title/vehicle has a lien listed, lien release needs to be present. Maryland is usually a pink copy that may look like the Maryland title. Or a signed and notarized from the official financial company will suffice if the original lien release is lost.
3. Bill of Sale (must be notarized if vehicle is 7 years or newer). If you purchased from a dealership, please provide all documents including dealer reassignment.
4. Maryland insurance policy number along with effective date.
5. Maryland State Inspection report that is within 90 days of the original inspection date. If no inspection report is provided or not found in the State of Maryland database, only a 30-day tag can be issued.
6. Maryland driver license that is clear-free of any administrative flags. (Please note, if you have any "Insurance lapse" or "Comptroller" flags, this will 100% stop any transaction from getting tags.
7. Any supporting documents or forms such as but not limited to: Gift form, Power of Attorney, Letter of Administration, certified copy of marriage license, birth certificate, legal change of name.
